  • Back Seal Pouch

    Back Seal Pouch

Center-back seal. Maximum display area. Cost-effective.

    Back seal pouch flexible packaging

Back seal pouches (also called center seal pouches) feature the seal on the back center of the pouch — not on the sides. This means the entire front face is uninterrupted by seals, giving you maximum printable area for branding and product information.

Back seal pouches are filled on premade-pouch filling machines (not VFFS). They are a cost-effective alternative to stand-up pouches when shelf display is important but a bottom gusset is not required.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is a back seal pouch?

A back seal (fin seal) pouch is sealed along a single back seam, forming a cylinder that is then sealed top and bottom. It is built for high-speed VFFS filling of powders and granules.

What products suit back seal pouches?

Powders, granules, snacks, and free-flowing solids filled on vertical form-fill-seal lines.

    Are back seal pouches cost-effective?

Yes. With one seal seam and simple tooling, back seal pouches are among the lowest-cost flexible formats at volume.
